The purpose of the Leslie Jergenson – Robert Elliott Automotive Scholarship is to encourage individuals interested in the automotive field to pursue post secondary education opportunities that are available to them.

The Leslie Jergenson – Robert Elliott Automotive Scholarship will be awarded per program per academic year. The value of this scholarship will be $500.00

Scholarship proceeds will be utilized for tuition, fees, and books. Applicants are limited to one scholarship.

To be considered as a candidate for the Leslie Jergenson – Robert Elliott Automotive Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Must achieve a high school grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
2. Be accepted as a full-time student in an Automotive Program at a qualified Vocational/Technical College.
3. Must file an application with Johnston Autostores by March 30 each year.
4. Maintain a 2.5 minimum cumulative grade point average; eligibility will be reviewed each semester.

All applicants are required to submit a letter of reference from a high school instructor, guidance counselor, or current employer with their application. This reference should address the applicants potential for success in the automotive field.
